PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panel member of a large composite material structure which can be manufactured at a low cost without any restriction of resin application, and easily transported to a site, and a joining structure thereof. SOLUTION: This panel member (10) comprises a fiber reinforced resin skin layer (10a) and an internal filler (10b) formed of foam. Recessed grooves (14) and projecting bars (15) are provided in joining surfaces (11, 12) of the panel member (10), and these grooves and bars are fitted and temporarily fixed to each other. In addition, joining recessed parts (13) having a bottom part (13a) and a side wall part (13b) on the joining surface side in which the skin layers on the face and back sides are laminated and tightly integrated with each other, and the panel member is coupled and assembled by bolts and nuts using bolt holes (13c) in the side wall part (13b). In addition, a sealing (16) for water stop is applied on the joining surfaces (11 and 12).
