PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic pilot valve having a characteristic that pressure of each output port reduces as an operation lever moves from a neutral position to each of directions and increases as the operation lever moves from each of the directions to the neutral position. SOLUTION: The hydraulic pilot valve includes a first spring 53 for energizing a spool in a one direction and a piston for pressing the spool in the one direction through the first spring 53 by applying operating force and moving in the one direction, reduces pressure of an inlet port so as to change the pressure of the output port as the piston moves, and outputs from the output port. The hydraulic pilot valve is provided with a second spring 54 for energizing the spool 51 in another direction, and is so structured that total thrust of thrust of the first spring 53 and thrust of the spool 51 generated by the pressure of the output port is opposed to thrust of the second spring 54 and the pressure of the output port reduces as the piston 52 moves in the one direction.
