PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which easily suppressed the curling of a transfer material without adding a member for mechanically removing curl and thereby, can obtain an optimum output image free from alignment failure of the transfer materials. SOLUTION: In the image forming device provided with a light source means which changes the amounts of light emitted by light sources 303 and 304, a latent image formation means which forms a latent image by scanning a surface of a photoreceptive drum (photoreceptor) 342 by means of the light sources 303 and 304, a developing unit (developing means) 322 which develops the latent image, formed on the photoreceptive drum 342, with developer, a transfer electrifier (transfer means) 323 which transfers the image to a transfer material, a transfer belt (transfer material carrying means) 333 which carries the transfer material, and a fixing unit (fixing means) 334 which fixes the image transferred to the transfer material, a first image formation mode and a second image formation mode are provided. The first image formation mode is utilized in order to carry out image formation in such a manner as to faithfully reproduce the image density of a document, and the second image formation mode is utilized in order to decrease the density of an output image by modifying image formation in accordance with a finish type, transfer material type, and document image density. |
