PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable eye glasses holder which is small and lightweight and can hold and release eye glasses through one-touch operation. SOLUTION: The eye glasses holder comprises an upper case 1 which is attached with engaging parts for other components inside and has an almost U-shaped groove on the outer face, a bottom case 2 which composes a holder body together with the upper case, a lever 3 which is attached inside so that it can slide or rotate in the both cases, a stopper 4 which locks the lever in a specified position and an elastic body 5 which connects the lever and the upper case or the bottom case and makes the lever slide and rotate with respect to the holder body, and when the temples of the eyeglasses are inset in the almost U-shaped groove on the upper case by a user's hand, the engaging parts of the stopper 4 and the lever 3 are released, and the lever 3 slides and rotates to hook the temples, and the temples of eyeglasses are held between the upper case and the lever.
