METHOD FOR SUPPORTING VOIP CALL TO NON-RAS ENDPOINT IN GATEKEEPER

PURPOSE: A method for supporting a VoIP(Voice over Internet Protocol) call to a non-RAS(Registration/Admission/Status) endpoint in a gatekeeper is provided to support a free VoIP call service between an endpoint which supports an RAS and an endpoint which does not support the RAS by performing a service to the non-RAS endpoint which does not support the RAS. CONSTITUTION: An endpoint 1(100) transmits an ARQ(call Admission ReQuest)(102) to an endpoint 2(200) and a gatekeeper 1(150)(1). The gatekeeper 1(150) transmits an ACF(call Admission ConFirm) or ARJ(call Admission ReJect)(104) to the endpoint 1(100)(2). The endpoint 1(100) receives the ACF or ARJ, and transmits a setup(106) to the endpoint 2(200)(3). The endpoint 1(100) receives a call proceeding(108) from the endpoint 2(200)(4), receives an alerting(110) from the endpoint 2(200)(5), and receives a connect(112) from the endpoint 2(200)(6).
