PURPOSE: A distribution system having a delivery confirming function and a distribution method are provided to secure the transparency of an information provider and the distribution delivery by including the function for confirming the actual reception of article information. CONSTITUTION: The system includes an information provider server(100), an affiliated merchant terminal(200), and a delivery confirming device(300). The server consists of an article information database(110), an affiliated merchant database(120) having the affiliated merchant information, an affiliated merchant management database(130), a customer management database(140), a communication control unit(150) for transmitting the article order information to the terminal of the affiliated merchant, and a CPU(160) for managing the server. The affiliated merchant terminal has a display device(220) for displaying the result of a delivery process. The delivery confirming device consists of a delivery confirming communication control unit(310) and a delivery confirming device CPU(360).
