PURPOSE:To effectively prevent the copy of a specified original by deciding the similarity of a picture signal and a specified picture and modulating the picture signal by means of information peculiar to a device in the picture signals except for those which area are decided to be similar. CONSTITUTION:A judgement circuit 5 compares the characteristic of an input picture with that of judgement data of a storage device 4. When it is judged that both data are similar, the judgement result is inputted to a central arithmetic processing unit 10. The central processing unit 10 outputs a control signal to an ink head driving circuit 8 and stops printing. When it is decided that both data are not similar or they cannot be decided, the central arithmetic processing unit 10 does not output the control signal. Picture data is picture- processed and binarization-processed and it is modulated based on data peculiar to the device in RAM 6 by a modulation circuit 7. Then, the picture is formed on recording paper by picture data. Namely, information peculiar to the device is added in spite of the decision result of similarity, and therefore the used device can be specified based on the output picture. |
