Cutting tip may be indexed in n-positions inside seat of body whose shape allows to alternatively mount into it cutting tips with axial n-order symmetry and with axial (m x n)-order symmetry, where m is equal or more than 2. In order to reduce costs for making cutting tool by using the same body for alternatively mounting into it several different-configuration cutting tips, recesses are made on circumferential surface of cutting tip near its base; said recesses form supporting members with axial n-order symmetry in the form of angular portions.
