PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an entry/exit management system which can securely update data for management and is free of problems of security. SOLUTION: The entry/exit management system is equipped with a collating device 1 which is so arranged at an entrance exit C1 as to allow passage when identification data that a passer presents matches identification data having been registered in order to manage the passage to/from a closed area C provided with the entrance exit C leading to the inside and the system has set data for management to be used to update the identification data; and the data for management are outputted by inputting variable data characteristic of each use environment by a previously set setting procedure.
