PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the incident light to a driving part, prohibit the leakage of light, and increase a parasitic load capacity even when the pixel of a liquid crystal display is miniaturized. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device comprises a pixel, arranged in a two-dimensional array-like manner, which further comprises a driving part formed on a semiconductor substrate and a reflective electrode electrically connected to the driving part, and a light shielding layer, for the spacing between the mutual reflective electrodes, disposed between the reflective electrode and the driving part. The above-mentioned purposes are achieved by providing a liquid crystal display device characterized in that the reflective electrode and the light shielding layer are arranged approximately in parallel, and that the relationship Y/L>=5 is satisfied, where L is the separation between the reflective electrode and the light shielding layer, and Y is a minimum length of the overlapped part between the reflective electrode and the light shielding layer. |
