POLYMERIZATION CATALYST FOR POLYESTER, POLYESTER PRODUCED BY USING THE SAME AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING POLYESTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymerization catalyst for a polyester, which comprises a main component other than an antimony or germanium compound, and is excellent in catalytic activity giving a polyester excellent in thermal stability, thermal oxidation stability and hydrolysis resistance and to provide the polyester excellent in thermal stability, thermal oxidation stability and hydrolysis resistance. SOLUTION: The polymerization catalyst for the polyester is specified by that it contains at least one compound selected from aluminum and its compounds as a metal-containing component and at least one coexisting compound selected from at least one P-OH bond-having specific phosphorus compounds.
