PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated optical fiber without coating troubles in the manufacturing process having the possibility of enough prevention of separating foreign substances in the coating when it is left at low temperature for long time. SOLUTION: The coated optical fiber has an ultraviolet ray curable resin layer containing polyether polyurethanes having a polyoxyalkyrene structure with alkyl groups as side chains.
