PURPOSE: A method for measuring air flow is provided to minimize errors in controlling fuel amount and ignition time, by accurately calculating an actual air amount from the signal output from the manifold absolute pressure sensor. CONSTITUTION: A method for measuring air flow comprises a first step(S10,S20) of fixing the r.p.m of engine and fuel injection amount at a constant value; a second step(S30,S40) of reading fuel-air ratio and signals output from the manifold absolute pressure sensor; a third step(S50,S60,S70) of calculating a unit suction air amount by using the fuel-air ratio and air density; a fourth step(S80) of converting the unit suction air amount calculated in the third step in accordance with the signal output from the manifold absolute pressure sensor; and a fifth step(S90) of controlling ignition time and fuel amount in accordance with the r.p.m of engine and unit suction air amount.
