PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lining fabric having heat retaining properties by utilizing a water absorption function. SOLUTION: This lining fabric comprises a knitted fabric having a water adsorption and heat generation function and has >=5 heat generation energy index, <=0.12 W/cm2 contact warm-cold sensitivity (qmax) of the knitted fabric when contacted with the skin, >=0.2 MPa bursting strength of the knitted fabric and <=5 kV friction withstand voltage of the knitted fabric.
