PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple pickup head structure on a disk, which is formed by using a ferroelectric material. SOLUTION: Voltages are supplied to wires, and an electric field is generated in the vicinity of the ends of two conductive wires. When the ends of the two wires approach a disk made of a ferroelectric material, the electric field polarizes a data storage surface, and executes a writing function. When reading is necessary, the two wires are induced by the cable way of a separation area on the ferroelectric material to read a data signal stored in the disk. The pickup head structure is capable of generating a simpler and smaller effective electric field, useful for the miniaturization tendency of the pickup head, and capable of increasing a data density on the disk.
