PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain both a coating composition characterized as especially having excellent stain resistance in addition to chemical and impact resistances and processability and a coated article and to provide a coating technique therefor. SOLUTION: This thermosetting composition is obtained by using a composition prepared by adding an organosilicate and/or its condensate capable of imparting functions of the stain resistance to an epoxy group-containing polyester modified polymer and a compound having a blocked carboxy group, as necessary, including an organometallic compound, a metal chelating compound, an organometallic soap or a metal halide and further, as necessary, including a heat latent acidic catalyst.
