A disarranged sheet (2) lies in a pincer marker (4), which moves by X amount to a side stop against a direction of traction. The sheet is then arranged in the pincer marker, which is moved with the arranged sheet at a constant mode of traction in the direction of traction in such a way that the side edge adjacent to the side stop is pulled to a side guideline. The sheet arrangement is then canceled in order to pass the sheet through a fast sheet-feeding device (5). An independent claim is also included for a device for aligning the sides of sheets in printing machines. |
