ARTICLE THESAURUS AND SYSTEM FOR SEARCHING ARTICLE INFORMATION BASED ON THE SAME

PURPOSE: An article thesaurus and a system for searching article information based on the same are provided to supply an article thesaurus for clarifying a classification standard with respect to various kinds of commodities for an electronic commerce and planning a directory compatibility. CONSTITUTION: A thesaurus DB(130) manages an article thesaurus having information of a synonym and a representative word of each article and an article directory being constructed based on the article thesaurus. An article DB(140) has actual information of each article. A thesaurus scanner(110) supplies a search form of a web environment for a user, checks a synonym or a related word with respect to an article search word of a user being received therefrom through a corresponding article thesaurus of the thesaurus DB(130), reads corresponding article information in the article DB(140), and supplies the information for a user. A cache managing unit(120) plays a single connection window role for making the thesaurus scanner(110) be connected to the thesaurus DB(130) and the article DB(140), stores mainly used article thesaurus or article information in a main memory as an object, checks a corresponding article thesaurus or article information from the main memory, and supplies the information to the thesaurus scanner(110). A thesaurus managing unit(150) supplies a hierarchical structure and attribute information with respect to the article thesaurus of the thesaurus DB(130) for a manager, and changes/manages the structure and attribute in accordance with a request of the manager.
