The computer displays a second image 202b showing the face of the character 202, on condition that the cursor is located within a predetermined distance from the first image 202a of the character 202 within the screen 61 of the display device 6. Not an abstract pattern but the character's face is displayed, so that a variety of feelings can be conveyed to the player according to facial expressions of the character.
