PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an alloy having a thermal expansion coefficient close to stabilized zirconia and a low specific resistance and excellent in high temp. mechanical strength/oxidation resistance by specifying the content of each metal of Cr-W-(Ti, Zr, Hf)-Fe alloy and adding a small quantity of Al, Co. SOLUTION: An alloy composition consists of, by weight, 15-40% Cr, 5-15% W, 0.1-5% at least one kind among Ti, Zr, Hf (but >1% in the case of Hf only) and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities. This Cr-W-(Ti, Zr, Hf)-Fe alloy, as necessary, contains 0.1-1.% Al, 1-10% Co or/further 0.001-0.01% B. By the alloy composition, an average thermal expansion coefficient from room temp. to 1000 deg.C roughly equal to an thermal expansion coefficient of stabilized zirconia (10-12×10<-6> /K) is obtained as a value of >=12.0×10<-6> /K to <=13.0×10<-6> /K. Further, 0.2% proof stress at 1000 deg.C is about >=2.0 kgf/mm<2> . |
