PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transformer which hardly causes the beats and the flux leakage outside coils and is easy to manufacture at a low cost. SOLUTION: The transformer has a three-leg core with gaps formed with its middle leg and a primary and secondary coils 12, 14 wound around the middle leg of the core through their respective bobbins 11a, 13a. The middle leg is an I-shaped core 2 with gaps provided at both ends to form a three-leg core with the I-shaped core 2 and a square-apertured core 1. The bobbins 11a, 13a are hollow cylindrical, and one 13a is fitted into the other 11a to form a double bobbin having bottoms or covers at the mutually different ends. The I-shaped core 2 is fitted into one bobbins 13a to form a gap with the bottoms or covers of the bobbins 11a, 13a. The I-shaped core 2, the square-apertured core 1, the bobbins 11a, 13a and the coils 12, 14 are impregnated with an insulative resin to harden into one body.
