<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system, where new electromagnetic waves do not have to be allocated and which suppresses an influence given to a human body and also uses an elastic wave capable of utilizing all kinds of daily objects existing in the environment as a transmitting medium. SOLUTION: Each of communication nodes 100-1 to 8 is arranged fixedly or is movably. The communication nodes 100 include not only a personal computer, a portable telephone set and an information terminal of a portable information terminal but also peripheral devices, such as a keyboard, a printer and a display. The elastic wave is used to transmit and receive information in the communication nodes 100-1 to 8, and then communication lines 101-1 to 15 use an elastic body as a transmission medium. When air is selected as the elastic body of the transmission medium, transmission and reception in which an acoustic wave (ultrasonic wave) is used as a transmission means is realized. When the elastic body of the transmission medium is a solid body, objects existing in the environment such as a desk, a wall and a table become a transmission medium. There may be cases in which the elastic body of the transmission medium is a liquid.</p> |
