PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manage unitarily from failure occurrence to the end of its report writing by grasping the skill and action schedule of a person in charge of maintenance all the time and further to easily inquire the failure processing situation. SOLUTION: This computer monitoring system has an operation computer 10 provided with a failure type setting part for recognizing a failure that takes place during operation and reporting the failure as failure information, a monitoring computer 20 for receiving the failure information, setting a person in charge for performing restoration processing of the failure on the basis of the failure type, instructing the person in charge through a communication network, preparing a failure report showing the situation of the failure and processing notified by the person in charge to register the failure report, extracting the failure report according to an inquiry from the outside and displaying the failure report, a media terminal 60 for accessing the person in charge from the monitoring computer through the communication network, and the communication network 70 for connecting the monitoring computer and the media terminal.
