PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electrolyte for driving electrolytic capacitors that can extend the life of the electrolytic capacitor. SOLUTION: Higher dibasic acid or its salt and/or boric acid or ammonium borate, and 0.1 to 1.0 wt.% xylenol orange (a chemical formula 1) should be dissolved into a solvent using ethyleneglycol as a main constituent.
