PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-voltage generating circuit for static eliminators which can supervise whether a proper quantity of ion is generated or not, and generating of an unusual electric discharge, while maintaining ion balance near a work. SOLUTION: It is the high-voltage generating circuit of the positive/negative of the pulse AC type static eliminator 30. An ion balance of an amount of ion generating is known by detecting a current I1 which flows a 1st resistance R1 by an ion current detection circuit 14. Moreover, if Current I1 becomes extremely small, a worker will be told by alarm means 9 as an unusual electric discharge. The positive and/or negative supply voltage to an electric discharging electrode is changed or a pulse width is changed so that the ion balance near the work may be maintained by detecting a current which flows a 2nd resistance R2 is detected by the ion current detection circuit 14. When a current which flows a 3rd resistance R3 is extremely large, the worker is told by the alarm means 9 as the unusual electric discharge.
