<p>Process for burning off oil spills, especially on lakes, seas and marginal seas or in the soil, wherein, prior to ignition, the oil slick is sprayed with an incendiary material containing a readily combustible mixture of saturated and/or unsaturated hydrocarbons, preferably containing a readily combustible mixture of saturated hydrocarbons, and the oil slick soaked with this mixture is then ignited, and incendiary composition and priming compound for carrying out the process.</p> |
