<p>Methods and apparatus to reduce and eliminate aliasing artifacts (64) generated as a result of performing high speed scans (52) are described. In one embodiment, the method includes the steps of applying a weighting function (56) to the projection data (54), and determining an aliasing index (58) from the weighted data.
