PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic train control device shortening the control time of an onboard device and shortening braking time of a train in an emergency by a data row composition not possible in a normal train control signal and by composing an emergency stop signal by a data row detecting data errors and improving responsiveness. SOLUTION: When a necessity arises to urgently stop the train, a ground device 11 generates the emergency stop signal by the data row composition not possible in the normal train control signal with a bit length shorter than the normal train control signal and it sends the signal to a rail 14 from a transmitter 12. In the onboard device 16, when the emergency stop signal sent through the rail 14 by the ground device 11 is received by a reception antenna 17, a determination bit of the emergency stop signal is decoded and the train 15 is decelerated.
