PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet ray sensor capable of continuous monitoring of ultraviolet ray source and exactly measuring the intensity of ultraviolet ray for a long period. SOLUTION: The ultraviolet ray sensor comprises a cylindrical sensor body 3 provided with a fluorescent substance 9 emitting visible light by receiving ultraviolet light from all direction, an attaching base 30 placed at one end of the sensor body 3, a light transmitting protection cylinder 40 inserted from the other end of the sensor body 3 and covering the sensor body 3, a protection cylinder cap 41 attaching the other end to the attaching base 30 by pushing the one end of the light transmitting protection cylinder 40 and an optical fiber 5 which is connected with the attaching base 30 of the sensor body 3 and introduces the light from the fluorescent substance 9 to a photoelectric converter.
