PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a platform balance which is reduced in deviation error depending upon the measurement position of a measured body on a receiving pan. SOLUTION: A spacer 5a and a spacer 5b which is above it and smaller in horizontal area than the spacer 5b are inserted between two cross bars which support the receiving pan 10 and a load cell 8; and the cross bars 2 and 3 and load cell 8 are fixed with screws 4, and the fixed column 13 of the load cell 8 is fixed to the base 7 of a housing with a screw. Consequently, when the load of a sample on the receiving pan 10 is placed on the movable column 14 of the load cell 8, averaged surface pressure operates on the movable column 14 of the load cell 8 at a low surface pressure variation rate determined by the shape sizes of the spacers 5a and 5b, so that the deviation error can be reduced.
