PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an image forming device to perform constant and highly accurate voltage control in a short control time at the time of controlling voltages to be applied to a contact transfer member. SOLUTION: This image forming device can perform constant and highly accurate voltage control in a short control time by allowing a DC controller 10 to make an output voltage at the time of performing the constant voltage control of a transferring roller 2 to be changed in two steps by a transfer high voltage power source 11 and by allowing the controller to detect output currents from the transfer high voltage power source 11 in respective changed output voltages and by allowing the controller to decide voltages to be applied from the power source 11 to the transferring roller 2 at the time of a transferring operation in accordance with the detected results before the transferring operation. |
