The invention relates to an overcurrent protection device for non-controlled power rectifiers, comprising an electronic forward voltage monitoring module (A1, Sp, F, SI, A2, CP, A3, Re) for each power semiconductor (D1, D2, D3, D4) of the monitored rectifier which controls the instantaneous or delayed fusion of the fuse (FI) of the replaceable element of a fusible plug (SF) by closing some contacts (K1, K2, K3, K4) whereby the operation voltage of the auxiliary electric arc is brought from the secondary circuit (S) of a current or voltage transformer (TI) to an electrode (E) which induces the fusion of the fuse (FI).
