<p>A process and granulate are disclosed for carrying out electrolysis. The object of the invention is to create an electrolytic process which can be carried out by more simple means then known methods. For that purpose, a material with a solar cell function is introduced into the liquid. In particular, a series of layers having a p-n transition formed on a substrate is selected. It is particularly advantageous to select a granulate as material with solar cell function. In order to achieve a higher efficiency, the lateral extension of each individual particle of granulate in at least one direction perpendicular to the normal of the substrate surface is smaller than the thickness of the series of layers.</p> |
