SUBSTANCE: method of amplification involving the use of improved oligonucleotide primers SKCC1 and SKCC3 and also their combination with primer SK145 is used for diagnosis of HIV-1. Based on primers data sets are constructed. One set comprises primer SK145M2 additionally to primers pairs and another primer comprises one primer, two primers or the above described set of primers. Nucleotide sequences of indicated primers are given in the description text. The proposed primers are able to amplify novel recently found isolates of the group M HIV-1 efficiently and also all known isolates of the group M HIV-1 being with about similar efficiency.
