PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scanning type fluorometric apparatus for irradiating only one scanning region to be scanned with exciting light when a specimen is two-dimensionally scanned using exciting light and preventing the exciting light from protruding to the adjacent scanning region, and a scanning type fluorometric method using the same. SOLUTION: The scanning type fluorometric apparatus is equipped with irradiation means (21, 22, 23, 14 and 19) for irradiating a specimen (11) labelled with a fluorescent substance with exciting light (L3), a two-dimensional scanning means (14 and 18y) for two-dimensionally scanning the specimen and exciting light by relatively moving the specimen and exciting light and a light detection means (16) for detecting fluorescence generated from the specimen. Further, the two-dimensional scanning means has a reciprocating drive means (14) for subjecting the specimen and exciting light to relative reciprocating movement cyclically along one direction. The irradiation means has irradiation control means (15 and 19) for cyclically restricting the irradiation of the specimen with exciting light to an irradiation region in synchronous relation to the relative reciprocating movement. |
