PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an image of high resolution independently of the shape of a screen by using display elements of widespread general-purpose goods. SOLUTION: In this projection device, such first data is first generated in accordance with the shape of an image generation means 15 that more pixels may be assigned to the image even in the case of a difference between the shape of a screen 18 and that of the image generation means 15, and the first image generated by the image generation means 15 is converted into a second image by a projection light conversion means 17 when the first image is projected on the screen 18 by a projecting means 16. The pixel arrangement of the first image is converted so that the second image may be significant in the case of conversion processing, and thus the image of a high resolution is projected.
