PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile equipment by which a user can recognize to which transmission document received acknowledgement mail belongs in the case of receiving the reception acknowledgement mail. SOLUTION: A recording section 2 records received image information or mark sheet or the like and a coding/decoding section 3 codes/decodes the image information. A MODEM 9 modulates/demodulates an analog signal between a line and a communication control section, a DTMF detector 10 detects a DTMF signal sent from the line and a system control section 4 controls the system operation. The communication control section 8 discriminates whether or not an incoming call arrives, starts communication at the arrival of the incoming call, a receiver side acquires caller information informed from a sender according to the protocol and receives a document. In the case of transmitting reception acknowledgement mail 3 to the sender, a head page of the received document is attached to the reception acknowledgement mail and a user confirms the document attached to the reception acknowledgement mail so as to easily grasp to which document the reception acknowledgement mail belongs.
