A disk brake comprising two brake pads (11, 12) designed to interact with the side faces of a disk (10) and supported by two shoes (13, 14). One of the aforementioned shoes (13) is supported by a translation lever (16), mounted so as to slide in relation to a support (20), while the other shoe (14) is articulated (23) with the end of a pivoting lever (21) which is mounted by means of the rotating middle part thereof (22) onto the translation lever (16). Manoeuvring means (17, 18) are provided between the end (25) of the pivoting lever (21) that does not support the shoe (14) and the translation lever (16).
