PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize a recording/reproducing operation by setting recording laser power to an optimal condition even in high-speed rate recording. SOLUTION: For a driving pulse for driving a laser means, the level ΔP of a longitudinal pulse (overdriving pulse) and the front edge shifting amount θof the driving pulse are independently controlled variably. Even when a level in a longitudinal pulse period reaches a laser power limit, and power becomes short, the recording power can be increased by controlling of the front edge shifting amount θ or the like. |
