PURPOSE: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) with repair lines and a method for repairing the same are provided to transmit signals to lines having short circuit by shorting a position where the shorted line is crossing the repair line by forming ring-shaped repair lines and reduce the parasitic capacity generated between gate lines and the repair lines by floating the repair lines crossing the gate lines, thereby reducing the signal delay. CONSTITUTION: An LCD includes an insulation substrate(1), a plurality of gate line(10) formed on the substrate, gate pad groups(11) formed of a plurality of gate pads at an end of the gate lines, a plurality of data lines(20) crossing the gate lines, insulated from the gate lines for defining pixel areas, data pad groups(21) formed of a plurality of data pads at an end of the data lines, a gate PCB(Printed Circuit Board:2) positioned outside a first substrate, a data PCB(3) positioned outside the first substrate, and repair lines(30) formed of a first part on the data PCB, a second part connected to the first part and crossing end parts of the gate lines in the vicinity of the gate pad groups, a third part connected to the first part on the substrate and crossing an end part of the gate lines far from the gate pad groups, and a four part meeting the second and the third parts. |
