The monitoring is pref. carried out by a vehicle motonic part, which is designed, so that the fresh air flow (FG) downstream of the total air mass meter (14) is distributed in part flows (F1,F2). Also that in the conducting sections (20-1,20-2) leading to the individual exhaust gas turbochargers, respectively a separate working individual air mass meter (22,24) is arranged. The signals (S26,S28) are supplied to an evaluation unit (18).
