PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bicycle pedal restraining or preventing earth, mud and other similar matter from contaminating an adjusting mechanism or an energizing member. SOLUTION: A pedal body 22 is provided with first end flanges 41a, 41b and second end flanges 42a, 42b. Rear clamping members 26 are rotatably connected to the second end flanges 42a, 42b of the pedal body 22 and have cleat engaging faces 71. A first energizing member 30 is connected between the pedal body 22 and the rear clamping member 26. Front clamping members 24 are fixedly connected to the first end flanges 41a, 41b of the pedal body 22, provided with cleat engaging faces 61 and constituted to form an open longitudinal passage 68. The passage 68 has a height H equal to a distance between the front clamping members 24 and the first end flanges 41a, 41b of the pedal body 22, and a width w1 equal to the width of the cleat engaging face 61. |
