PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the erasability suitable for the kind of color of a mechanical pencil lead and the kind of ink of a ball point pen by a method wherein a plurality of exclusive erasers are employed in a duplex writing utensil. SOLUTION: In the duplex writing utensil, in the barrel of which a plurality of mechanical pencil writing bodies or a plurality of writing bodies including at least one mechanical pencil writing body are loaded so as to allow to selectively retract and extend the tip of respective writing body from and to the tip opening of the barrel, on the side of a barrel provided at the rear of the barrel, slits extending longitudinally to its rear end are bored at a plurality of spots. In addition, eraser holders provided integral with sliders piercingly projecting to the slits and respectively independently provided on the side. Independent erasers are fixed to the respective eraser holders so as to retract and extend the rear end part of the eraser fixed to the eraser holder from and to the rear end of the barrel by sliding the selected slider along the slit back and forth. |
