Apparatus which is formed by an agitator (stirring) pump 1 inserted into a container holding the product to be desalted plus water, consisting of a small drive motor 2 whose spindle displaces a helix 4 located in an intermediate cavity, isolated from the motor, which has a lower entry orifice 5, protected by a bell-type component 7, which the water enters via a series of orifices 8 located laterally and close to the bottom, and an upper exit orifice 6 located on the opposite side from the entry orifice, so that said pump agitates and displaces the water inside the container, speeding up the process of desalting the product contained therein. <IMAGE>
