PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent cloth and embroidery from being stained by ink in a structure sewing the cloth while coloring a sewing thread with the ink discharged from an ink jet head. SOLUTION: This thread coloring sewing machine is provided with a thread coloring means coloring the sewing thread with the ink discharged from the ink jet head. The thread coloring means is provided with a cloth presser 14 pressing the cloth at sewing and having a needle hole 37g for inserting the sewing thread, and lugs 37j are arranged near the needle hole 37g on a contact face section 37a of the cloth presser 14 to be kept in contact with the cloth. When the cloth is pressed by the cloth presser 14, the lugs 37j or the cloth presser 14 are brought into contact with the cloth, and the contact area between the cloth presser 14 and the cloth is reduced, thereby the ink is hardly stuck to the contact face section 37a of the cloth presser 14.
