FLOATING ARTIFICIAL GROUND AND CONSTRUCTION METHOD FOR PORT STRUCTURE USING FLOATING ARTIFICIAL GROUND

PURPOSE: A construction method for a port structure using the floating artificial ground is provided to construct a port structure such as a breakwater on the soft ground economically and to shorten the period of construction. CONSTITUTION: The construction method for a port structure using the floating artificial ground(1) comprises the steps of: manufacturing the floating artificial ground(1) connected with many buoyant tubs(10) on the ground, then floating and drawing to a construction site of a port structure using a barge; setting the floating artificial ground(1) to the footing ground(20) for constructing a port structure by putting seawater to the floating artificial ground(1); covering the floating artificial ground(1) with minute soil(30); and constructing a port structure(40) by controlling the buoyancy of the floating artificial ground(1) and dropping riprap, then filling up the inside of buoyant tubs(10) with light materials such as urethane to prevent a loss of buoyancy due to the bursting or crack of the buoyant tubs(10).
