SUSPENSION FOR DISK DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension for a disk device having piezoelectric elements capable of preventing generation of particles. SOLUTION: The suspension 10 has a load beam 11 to be fitted with a flexure 15, an actuator base 25 including a base plate 13, a thin hinge member 14 thinner than the base plate 13 and a pair of the piezoelectric ceramic elements 40. The piezoelectric ceramic elements 40 displace the front end side of the load beam 11 to a sway direction S when voltage is impressed thereto. The piezoelectric ceramic elements 40 are housed into an aperture 23 formed at the actuator base 25. A cover film 70 having electrically insulation is stuck on the piezoelectric ceramic elements 40. Both flanks 54 and 55 of the element 40 are covered by cover films 70. Both flanks 52 and 53 of the element 40 are covered by adhesives 90 with which the element 40 is fixed to the base 25.
