PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk changer which can quickly bring the housing of a wrong disk to user's attention and the disk can quickly be removed. SOLUTION: A disk changer 20 places and houses a plurality of disk-shaped recording media in a rotary tray 31. When disks are exchanged in the state where a disk to be reproduced among a plurality of housed disks is moved to a prescribed reproduction position, the presence or absence of each disk housed in the rotary tray 31 is detected by sensor groups 34A, 34B, and 34C. When another disk is housed in the storing position of the disk moved to the reproduction position, the rotary tray 31 is automatically rotated, the other disk is transported to a front center position, a disk opening/closing door 24 is released, and then the other disk is forcibly ejected by an ejection rod 31C.
