PURPOSE: A plasma display panel and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve the discharge efficiency by forming a pad electrode for connecting a pair of sustain electrodes and trigger electrodes to an upper substrate. CONSTITUTION: An address electrode(4X) is formed on a lower substrate(2). A pair of sustain electrodes(7Y,7Z) and trigger electrodes(17Y,17Z) is formed on an upper substrate(1). A pad electrode(9) connects the respective sustain electrodes(7Y,7Z) to the trigger electrodes(17Y,17Z). The sustain electrodes(7Y,7Z) and the trigger electrodes(17Y,17Z) are at right angles to the address electrode(4X). The pad electrode(8) is formed on the upper substrate(1) so as to cross with the sustain electrodes(7Y,7Z) and the trigger electrodes(17Y,17Z), and to overlap with the address electrode(4X) in a parallel direction. |
