PURPOSE: A circuit for generating an offset release signal of a liquid crystal display is provided, which generates an offset release signal having an independent period without regard to a master clock signal of a system. CONSTITUTION: A reference signal generation unit(20) generates a reference voltage signal(Vref) and a reference current signal(Iref) which are independent each other. A period control unit(30) controls a period of an offset release signal by receiving the reference current signal applied from the reference signal generation unit. A comparator(46) generates a switching signal by comparing the reference voltage signal from the reference signal generation unit with an output signal of the period control unit. And an offset release signal generation unit(50) generates the offset release signal having a fixed period by transferring or blocking a load signal(LOAD) according to the switching signal generated from the comparator.
